Hunt, Deltel & Co.

About the Hunt Deltel website

Hunt, Deltel & Co. is a shipping, port-operations and logistics group in Seychelles, with subsidiaries in courier, records management, yacht services and IP registration. A group site has to explain a lot of services clearly without overwhelming the visitor.

The website organises those services so that each audience, from shipping agents to local businesses, can find its part of the group quickly.

The brief

DUMMY: What the group needed: for example one clear home for several subsidiaries.

What I did on the Hunt Deltel website

DUMMY: Design, build, photography, video, SEO: say which you did. Hunt Deltel was a photography and website project.

The result

DUMMY: Add outcomes if you have them.

How I build websites like Hunt Deltel

Every website I build starts with what visitors need to do and how to make that easy. I design the layout and visual style, build the site in WordPress so the client can edit their own content, optimise images and pages for speed on mobile, and set up the on-page SEO so the site can be found. Where a project calls for it, I also supply the photography and video. This project follows that approach. To see more of my work, browse the web design portfolio, or contact me about your own website.

What I look at first

Before designing anything I look at who visits, which device they use and what they came to do. For most small and medium businesses that means a phone, a quick question and a need to find contact details fast. I keep the structure simple, write short and clear headings, and make the main action, whether that is to call, enquire or book, visible on every page. Good photography and a light page weight then do the rest, because visitors leave slow or confusing sites within seconds, and search engines notice that too.
