About this web design portfolio

Every site in this web design portfolio started with the same question: what should a visitor do here, and how do we make that easy? A hotel needs direct bookings, a shipping group needs to explain many services clearly and a safety company needs to be found when someone searches.

I design the look, build the site in WordPress, write or edit the content where needed and set up the on-page SEO, so the site can be found as well as admired. Because I also make video and photography, I can supply the imagery as part of the same project.

How I build websites

Sites are built on WordPress with page builders and a small set of well-chosen plugins, so you can edit your own content without calling a developer. I keep pages light and fast, with attention to image sizes, caching and mobile layout, because speed affects both visitors and search results.

Photography, video and SEO with the site

Because I also film and photograph, the imagery on a site can be made for it instead of bought from a stock library. I write or edit the page copy where needed and set up titles, descriptions and structure so search engines understand each page. Adding video to a site is simple too, using a lightweight player that loads only when someone presses play, so pages stay fast.

Looking after your site

I also take over existing websites for redesigns, maintenance and management, including e-commerce with WooCommerce and Shopify, hosting set-up and Cloudflare.
