About the La Cigale Estate website

La Cigale Estate is a boutique hotel and spa on Praslin, the second-largest island in Seychelles. Its website has to do three jobs: show the nine suites and the setting, present the restaurant and the guided experiences, and make it easy for visitors to enquire or book directly.

It is a good example of the kind of hospitality website I build: image-led, quick to load on a phone, and structured so that search engines and guests can both find what they need.

The brief

DUMMY: 2–3 sentences: what the hotel needed, for example more direct bookings, a faster site or better Google visibility.

How I build websites like La Cigale Estate

Every website I build starts with what visitors need to do and how to make that easy. I design the layout and visual style, build the site in WordPress so the client can edit their own content, optimise images and pages for speed on mobile, and set up the on-page SEO so the site can be found. What I look at first

Before designing anything I look at who visits, which device they use and what they came to do. For most small and medium businesses that means a phone, a quick question and a need to find contact details fast. I keep the structure simple, write short and clear headings, and make the main action, whether that is to call, enquire or book, visible on every page. Good photography and a light page weight then do the rest, because visitors leave slow or confusing sites within seconds, and search engines notice that too.
